Pros

Laid back atmosphere, nice people,

Cons

The company encourages their Pinpoint department (door knockers) to go to new home buyers and claim to work with their Realtors to gain their trust and advance the sale. Which might not be illegal but it's certainly unethical. This is also problematic because as the Regional Director of the Realtor program it completely undermines the integrity of our department. I had numerous brokerages and Realtors refuse to work with our company when I contacted them. They would even state their clients being harassed by our door knockers and how they would "claim" to work with them. The other issue that is created is we would get a lead from a Realtor and contact them only for them to say "I already spoke to someone with or signed with a guy at my door who works with my realtor."Which is a awkward situation at best. Not to mention the Realtors expect their $150 visa for referring their clients so if and when their clients say they did sign up with the realtors ADT rep they then expect to receive it. But being as it wasn't a rep from the actual realtor program merely a pinpoint rep claiming to be from the program we couldn't nor would the company allow that Realtor to receive the gift card. The company also offers less equipment to clients thur the realtor program then the pinpoint (door knockers). Which again creates for a awkward situation at the very best when we literally guarantee we can give their clients the best deal and then they find out our own company offers a much better deal via the pin point department. The entire Realtor program relies on partnering with Realtors and preying on their desire to help their clients and offering them a referral fee but I believe if most realtors knew the truth about the program they'd never take $150 refferal when 90% of the time it directly results in their clients getting the same or more often than not a worst deal. The realtor program actually offers no better deal than the clients could get on their own but again that's completely misrepresented to the Realtor. The company also has little employee loyalty. They fire people within few weeks of training if not selling. They have fired many employees just because they received a call for a reference from another job. Unbeknownst to them if the job is intended to replace them or simple act as an additional source of income for said employee. They also misrepresent how much employees make. There are a good handful of people making good money but it's a far cry from the statistics they provide. There is money to be made but Safehaven lacks legitimacy and basic principal required to truly evolve into a repudiable company. They have a -F from the better business bureau. Also if u have a family be prepared to spend $1,000 a month for mediocre insurance.

Pros

An eye opening experience to the world of home security. I enjoyed the team I worked with. I valued all their insights and I appreciated the effort they took to keep me motivated. No supervision and I felt like I was running my own franchise.

Cons

Zero base pay and I was not prepared for how much commission would be taxed. The hours were awful: M-W heading into work at 11am and not being free until after 8pm. Thursday and Friday knocking doors from 1:30pm to after 8:30pm and having to work Saturday morning too. Felt like I worked for free and there was no clear path to becoming an adequate sales person. No training to speak of.
