Pros

Great people! Good hours! Decent pay! Best product in the Automated Home Security system market! They really are trying to help you figure out how to make deals and really do want you to succeed because that means they get paid too!

Cons

Lots and lots of phone calls. If you do not like talking on the phone DO NOT even consider applying. The lack of leads provided also means you will have to try and find more places to make your calls after burning through everything you were supposed to do in the first half of the day. The fact that most of my "fresh" leads had already been contacted by multiple people despite their database indicating no previous contact also disturbed me. One day I called no less than fifteen people (granted out of eighty) who not only had RECENTLY been contacted about the SAME property but were already signed up with someone else (one of the top sellers actually) without having been marked as someone else's Partner or Analyst. Which means that seller was not only making deals while getting fresh prospects but preventing others (namely people new to the company) from getting REAL prospects and thus hampering their ability to build their own book of business. Unfortunately the deals are actually rather shady if you actually do any investigation on your own, which given my curiosity on how a business works I did and is the reason I ended up leaving. The pricing is the same as through the corporate hotline except the gift cards meaning your pitch is, if not an outright lie, then bologna of the finest quality. What I liked most about the company was the personal touch they claimed to bring for the customer. Unfortunately that is pretty much a lie, they do get to keep in touch with clients for any issues they have briefly, but after a very short amount of time, considering its a three year contract, in most cases they turn the customer over to the same automated corporate response they claim to help avoid. In the end though it came down to my dislike of the product, I did not feel comfortable hard selling people on a product that I felt was an unnecessary waste of money. Don't get me wrong if you want a home security system then buy through SafeHaven, but a gun and a good dog are in my opinion better having had my home protected from multiple break ins by those direct means in the past. Had it been a different kind of product I probably would have been more than willing to overlook the shady aspects and push the sale. Unfortunately it was something that I strongly believe is a waste of money and that wore on me too much to continue there.

Pros

Good company culture, pretty good pay if you are good at knocking on doors. Pretty good benefits. Health, Vision, Dental, 401k.

Cons

The worst thing is the hours. You have to be knocking on doors from 2:30 till 8:30 p.m. no appointments, no real plan. They just give you a list of addresses and you go see who you can find at home. Not super crazy about the training and how they teach you to greet the homeowners at the door. I don't like to "mislead" by saying things that aren't completely true. They tell you the average rep sells 12 deals a month but the numbers don't show that. Turnover is crazy! People are in and out of this company very quickly. Only a few survive and stick around just long enough to find something else so they can spend some time with their family.
