Pros

Vehicles will always have glass. This is a very stable industry Glass will continue to crack and break. Insurance companies will always offer damage coverages. This company is the largest and only national auto glass company in the US. The benefits are good. The ability to move not only up but into different disciplines within the company is very good. The best reason to get into this company is to become a known quantity, access to job opernings in every division and have an insider's advantage to moving up. Safelite is always expanding mostly by acquisition but probably soon by diversifying.

Cons

The company is foreign owned which in itself is not a con but it does make it a bit more difficult to know what plans the owners have for their US based division. Artificial Intelligence and software may eliminate CSR jobs or greatly reduce the numbers of CSRs needed. Increased use of the website and chat has already impacted the volume of inbound calls and will continue to do so.

Pros

Working hours, easy to learn, great environment.

Cons

The 1 minute late, rule. If you’re ONE minute late from break, lunch, or even clocking in.. it counts toward your “infractions”. You can only get 3 for the first 60 days. Even if your wifi goes out, you get sick.. anything. It counts.

Pros

The fact that they will teach you and train you to install Auto Glass? Cannot answer this truthfully

Cons

I've applied twice to the tech training position. The first time I thought that I may have made an error? The Yellow Brick Rd location had adds for 18 positions available. I applied again fixing what I thought the issue to be. I was again sent an email that they were not moving to the next step with me. This makes ZERO sense. I was just recently a slot tech out of Horseshoe. I also was a tech for a company that handed a few interior pieces for Amtrak.
