Pros

Great pay, great equipment, best benefits you can find, holidays floater days and sick days accumulate quick and you don't have to wait to get on the board to receive all of that. Pay is piecework figured by hourly, you can work as fast or slow as you want. 65,000. to 70,000. First yr. You don't work your days off and you cap out at 60 hours a week.

Cons

Weekdays off no weekends for at least 10 years, you spend as much time picking up pallets in your trailer as driving, a lot of bay area stores and hard to get into. Pay is piecework figured by hourly. 5-25 pieces added to each load, two or three loads per day, X 400 drivers makes for a lot of mistakes which are fixed and added to your next check if you take the time to find them. A lot of games between dispatch and drivers and a lot of nitpicking and write ups. 3 minutes late on arrival time or sign out expect a write-up. Take your lunch late or skip your second lunch expect a write-up. Takes two to three years to get on the board. Turnover is around 50 drivers a year. Great benefits that go up 35 - 50 a year and are at $631 a month right now.

Pros

Friendly and helpful colleagues, weekly pay and flexible schedule

Cons

When it is busy, it is very busy. Lunch/Break may get pushed back or even denied in extreme cases because there is no one to cover for you.
