Grocery industry - Anonymous employee Safeway Employee Review

Extremely low wage. Extremely poor bath facilities and lack of cleanliness in employee free space and baths. Extremely low quality health benefits with high deductibles. Very small percentage of educated staff, which I am sure is related to the low salaries and poor benefits. Work all holidays. Work nights and weekends. Work until 12 midnight and have to be back at the store the next morning at 5am. Work 9 - 10 days in a row because of the way the work week ends/starts.
