      Pros

      All of the coworkers were really sweet, opportunity to work with a diverse team, chance to enhance customer service skills.

      Cons

      Might have just been my location but no breaks at all despite long periods of standing (and being told I would get breaks), was working at a high-volume location in my department alone, insensitive to employee health concerns (i.e., got told I couldn't leave early when I literally couldn't hold back tears in front of customers and had a high fever), unclear policies like the probationary period, ABRUPT termination without proper communication beforehand for something that could have been worked around, and a lack of genuine care for employees wellbeing.

      Pros

      Nothing at all, only work at Safeway if you're about to be literally homeless

      Cons

      Genuinely hellish work environment. Management is lazy and absent, customers are the most disrespectful and clueless I have ever encountered. Complete unrealistic labor allocation and expectations. As a PIC, I have to run 9 SCO robots, unlock cases for customers, perform transactions at Customer Service, answer external phone calls, and move freight. Customers rightly get frustrated at the complete lack of care by corporate, and take it out on employees. Management in the morning all skip out on the evening management early every single day, a luxury the closing staff are not allowed.
