Pros
Safeway USED to be a great company to work for. We were strong, respected and most employees were proud to work for a company like them. I miss the old days.
Cons
They sold out to an equity firm out of greed and they merged Safeway with New Albertsons. Whereas the promise was to share equal management, it quickly became obvious that the Albertsons management team was taking over. The stores are "dumbing" down and customers are fleeing. A once vibrant company in a very competitive market is no more. Very sad.
