Pros
I can't think of a single hourly coworker that I didn't enjoy working with. Obviously this varies by store to store, but talking with other low level managers at different stores in and around my area showed similar opinion. The pay for PIC can be decent. It's better than some other regional chains in other regions I've worked at, and about the same for other PNW regional chains.
Cons
Beyond the lowest level of management, legitimately criminal behavior goes ignored. I've watched store directors and ASDs threaten to edit people's times without permission to coerce them to not talk to union representatives, openly admit to passing up local black youth due to racial preference, make sexist comments towards female employees, and insult transgender employees behind their backs. Whenever you report any of this to HR, you'll find they will outright ignore it if you do it anonymously, or will release your name so you can be retaliated against if you allow them to take down your name. The public is also very rough. Myself and many of my coworkers have been assaulted, had glass objects thrown at us, had people try to hit us with their cars, and had people pull guns on us simply to threaten or harm us with no intention of robbing the store. The company doesn't allow you to carry any form of self defense, even at night, and I've seen multiple people be fired for defending themselves with whatever they had on hand.
