Pros
Hours are flexible as long as you work a full shift. Department is largely self-managed as all its workers are veterans of 15-20 years. Customers are generally friendly compared to other retail/food-service roles
Cons
Upper Management moves cutters around a lot. They will also put union cutters on the schedule who never show up, leaving you down a person. No set track for clerks to become an apprentice meat cutter. Other clerks had been there almost 2 years with no promise of an apprenticeship in sight, they would just keep bringing in new cutters. Raises for clerks are pitiful.
