Pros
You can not get fired so long as you show up.
Cons
This is not where IT careers are born. They die here. Unfortunately, there is a severe attitude of “CYA” and a paranoid environment from IT & Business management. I have never worked at a place where you have to reboot your computer several times a day to be secure. You have 2 bosses here. One just walks around miscommunicating and giggling all day long & the other is a narcissist that barely knows how it is to communicate like a normal human being other than spouting shoot from the hip policy and orders. This is a single point of failure organization and they are proud of it. There is no need to be proactive here as everything is reactive and when it happens “Senior Management” laughs and says “That’s Saft”. They are proud of it. There is no trust and there is no need to share collective ideas as to better the organization because the powers that be have it all figured out and do not want to hear from anyone that is not in the Good Ole Boys club. They are under the assumption that if they feed employees every few months they can get away with no career development and less than cost of living increases. The common phrase here is keep working and some point in the future we will do something for you. At least that is what I have heard for some years.
