Pros

Pay was decent. Work was easy. Some really nice people on the team. Similar pros to government work.

Cons

A lot of work was silly; tasks for tasks' sake that had no purpose or benefit. In my group, management is distant and unaware of what happens, and had passed on responsibility to a consultant, whose main focus was selling more projects to the company, regardless of need or benefit. Lots of "pie in the sky" plans to do a million things, but little focus on the basics. The tendency to attempt too many things leads to nothing being done particularly well. Too many meetings. Every meeting starts 5 minutes late because the previous one ran over. No one leads meetings, and there is rarely an agenda or emailed follow-up. If you're a motivated person who likes to do good work that benefits people, you may find it frustrating.

Thanks for this feedback. As a former colleague, I think you would appreciate the shifts we have made to embracing a spirit of experimenting and iterating in the way we work, not being afraid to fail, and being okay that everything is not perfect the first time around. This way of working could be scary for some but it guarantees there's never a dull moment, we can have fun exploring, and we can continue to delight our customers with innovative solutions.

Pros

Lots of inbound leads. You can build your entire book almost completely off inbound. The actual sellers are very good at what they do. Lots of knowledgeable SC's

Cons

2 Salesforce instances and 2 Outreach Instances. The sales operations are insanely bad. You spend a lot of your time doing admin instead of actually selling and finding new account. Intacct is also behind on Ai. They use the excuse of not being able to ship new features because they need to be accurate for their enterprise customers. The real reason is they can't seem to figure it out. They are about a year late on shipping new product functionality. They are the most expensive product in the ERP industry but they are not the best when it comes to functionality. They have complex contracts and they nickel and dime.
