Pros
Well paid. Good benefits. Some good colleagues.
Cons
From a once proud team of over 40 product experts, down to 12. And then they started bringing in “apprentices”. These were people who did the same job as the experts, used the resources that the experts had written over several years. And then they started getting rid of the experts. What it’s like now… I don’t know. No prospects, culture of fear for your job. Managers who can’t. Managers who outright lie on record. A company that doesn’t value staff loyalty one bit. Oh and woe betide you if you point out a developer error. “Its not for you to tell them they’ve done it wrong, they’re the developers, they’re the experts. They won’t want to hear this from a lowly tech. “ Yeah, okay. But they’re still wrong. See you in the very imminent update correcting this important error.
