Pros

People-first culture: Sage truly invests in its associates. There’s a genuine focus on belonging, engagement, and creating environments where people feel seen and supported. Growth opportunities: For those who are driven, there’s significant room to grow. Leadership encourages development, mentorship, and exploring new paths within the organization. Strong values & purpose: Sage leads with heart. The company’s commitment to community, innovation, and hospitality shows up in day-to-day decision-making. Collaborative environment: Teams work closely across departments, which creates great learning opportunities and a strong sense of partnership. Empowered leadership: Leaders are encouraged to make thoughtful decisions that balance business needs with associate well-being. There’s space to think strategically and have a real impact.

Cons

Change can move quickly: With a company that’s growing and evolving, priorities shift fast. This can be challenging if you prefer a slower or more predictable pace. Additionally, with the quick nature of some items, relevant leaders may be left out of the loop or notified late of an impactful change. Consistency varies by property/leader: Like many hospitality organizations, the experience can differ depending on location and individual leadership styles. Bandwidth challenges: High expectations and busy operations can stretch teams thin at times — strong time management is a must.

Pros

Large portfolio of hotels with the potential for transfers and growth. Upper management is intelligent, helpful, and the layers of management help meaningfully support daily operations on the ground.

Cons

Culture varies widely by property and reality of available job growth is determined largely at the property level despite the larger portfolio. Lots of layers of management create a high level of bureaucracy that can make getting anything done a slow and frustrating process.
