Pros

The company cares about its employees. This is shown by awarding certain incentives and doing certain events for employees.

Cons

No work life balance. The pay isn't justified for the amount of work you are expected to complete. Upper management is complacent and too comfortable. They come in each day to collect a check and offer minimum assistance.

Thank you so much for your honest feedback and for your service to Sage in Austin for three years. I am glad that you enjoyed the incentive programs and the events that were put on for associates. I hope that your years at Sage brought you experiences that will help you in your future career. In terms of your dealings with upper management, I truly hope that you were able to communicate those situations to someone in the company. We work hard to establish a good work/life balance for everyone and if that is not happening, it is something we need to know before an associate feels no other option but to move on. It sounds like you had some specific interactions with a manager that was not acting appropriately. I hope that during your exit interview you were able to share this feedback so that we can improve the situation. Once again, thank you for sharing your experiences and I wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors.

Pros

Large portfolio of hotels with the potential for transfers and growth. Upper management is intelligent, helpful, and the layers of management help meaningfully support daily operations on the ground.

Cons

Culture varies widely by property and reality of available job growth is determined largely at the property level despite the larger portfolio. Lots of layers of management create a high level of bureaucracy that can make getting anything done a slow and frustrating process.
