Given a lot of opportunities to shine Ability to be creative with how you run your department Pay well compared to other hotel management companies Lots of empowerment seminars, very refreshing for staff and management team

Cons

Not a lot of upper management assistance, until the department is in shambles GM needed better understanding of rooms

Pros

Large portfolio of hotels with the potential for transfers and growth. Upper management is intelligent, helpful, and the layers of management help meaningfully support daily operations on the ground.

Cons

Culture varies widely by property and reality of available job growth is determined largely at the property level despite the larger portfolio. Lots of layers of management create a high level of bureaucracy that can make getting anything done a slow and frustrating process.
