Pros

*benefits *pay *connections to other hotel chains

Cons

These particular locations are very close knit and quite catty. In the hospitality industry, everybody knows everybody and after a few years you'll have worked with someone who knows someone who worked with someone. One particular manager at a Sage ran Marriott in Portland Oregon once said they would not quit their job there unless to leave the industry because she has upset enough hotel workers in the area, that have had the displeasure of working under her at one point; and implied that if she were to ever lose the positional power she held she would be [ "not happy" in any new position/hotel ] due to her mistreatment of staff.

Pros

Great people, strong culture, and exposure to a wide variety of hotels, restaurants, and ownership groups. I had the opportunity to work with talented colleagues who genuinely cared about one another and the success of the company. There are opportunities to take on meaningful responsibility, and if you’re willing to work hard, you’ll gain tremendous experience.

Cons

As the company has grown, some departments have become stretched thin, and processes have not always evolved at the same pace. Teams can spend significant time reacting to day-to-day priorities, leaving less time for process improvement, automation, and strategic initiatives. Workloads can be demanding, particularly during peak periods.
