Pros

I am both proud and grateful to be a part of Sage Hospitality Group — an organization where I have truly found a sense of belonging. Working at Sage is not a job; it is a career and an ongoing journey marked by growth, opportunity, and meaningful experiences. I joined Sage four years ago as a Front Office Manager at the Morrison Hotel. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of advancing through several leadership roles — first as Assistant Rooms Executive, then as Area Director of Rooms for Morrison House and The Alexandrian, and currently as Assistant General Manager at The Alexandrian Hotel. Throughout this journey, what has consistently stood out is Sage’s unwavering commitment to its core values and to enriching lives — one experience at a time — for both our guests and associates. It is incredibly motivating to see the active engagement of our founder and senior leadership, who foster a culture of transparency, celebrate our successes, and share the company’s vision for continued growth and innovation. I am honored to contribute to an organization that not only invests in its people but also inspires them to thrive. I look forward to what the future holds and to continuing this journey with Sage Hospitality Group. Best Regards, Sam Shaheen Assistant General Manager The Alexandrian Hotel

Pros

Large portfolio of hotels with the potential for transfers and growth. Upper management is intelligent, helpful, and the layers of management help meaningfully support daily operations on the ground.

Cons

Culture varies widely by property and reality of available job growth is determined largely at the property level despite the larger portfolio. Lots of layers of management create a high level of bureaucracy that can make getting anything done a slow and frustrating process.
