      Pros

      I've been with the company for just over three months and have felt supported from the first day. The Director of Sales has provided continued opportunities for growth in a short time and is a solid backbone in our department to lean on for mentorship and expertise in the field. Our new GM brings an eclectic and strong energy, as well as passion to his position, while possessing leadership qualities that I aspire to achieve someday. The hotel is already improving under his guidance and there's a clear vision for the future. Our Director of Catering has helped to support my career growth and challenged me to enroll in a Principles of Hotel Leadership course to further progress my skills and talents within Sage. She has been a constant support system from the beginning. It's refreshing to feel happy to come to work each day and to be part of a team that is committed to growth and improvement.

      Cons

      While the building itself is older, I only consider it a short-term con because a renovation is on the horizon. With that on the way, I truly believe the property has so much potential and I'm glad to be a part of the transformation.

      Pros

      Large portfolio of hotels with the potential for transfers and growth. Upper management is intelligent, helpful, and the layers of management help meaningfully support daily operations on the ground.

      Cons

      Culture varies widely by property and reality of available job growth is determined largely at the property level despite the larger portfolio. Lots of layers of management create a high level of bureaucracy that can make getting anything done a slow and frustrating process.
