Thank you for taking the time to write your employment experience at Nystrom & Associates, Ltd. On Glassdoor. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed the people you worked with. We think we have tremendous staff in our Company and we place high value on our Company culture and promote a professional and open working atmosphere. We also appreciate that you thought that “flexible working hours” was another advantage in your employment with our Company. We do try, whenever possible, to be as flexible as we can in terms of working hours for our staff so that they can maintain a health work/home life balance. I am sorry to hear that you felt as if “most days go by slow” and that there was not a lot of mobility in the company. We encourage all of our staff to ask their direct supervisor for more job tasks, in the event that any given day is slow. This does not seem to be a common piece of feedback that we hear, though I am sorry that you felt this way. Lastly, as a Support Staff Specialist, there are many avenues for job mobility. All of our Registration Coordinators, Patient Care Coordinators and most of our Office Managers started out as a Support Staff Specialist and were promoted to these other roles as they gained more on-the-job experience. You mention that you were employed with Nystrom less than one year. This may have been a factor why you were not promoted to these other positions. Thank you for your feedback and if you wish to discuss anything further, please feel free to contact our Human Resources department. Thank you.

Pros

Supervision and some internal CEUs are provided. You can be flexible with your schedule. My office is very supportive and I have good coworkers.

Cons

I was warned about burnout and too many clients, but my experience was the opposite. I have not been able to build a caseload in a year and am being forced to part-time with loss of some benefits because there aren't enough intakes. I am not the only person in my office experiencing this. The pay is low as well, there is no stipend or reimbursement for training outside of the company even while the company does not offer specific modality training, and the company has cut salary pay model as well as cutting several holidays including Juneteenth. The company's actions continue to show that they care for profit over people.
