Pros

There is not a whole lot I can think of for this. Every once in awhile there are provider lunches.

Cons

There are absolutely no set safety procedures for staff. You would think this would be a top concern for management considering it is a mental health office. This is very concerning and needs to be addressed but upper management doesn't seem to care or may not even know that the office managers are not training for emergency situations.

Thank you for your review. We are sorry that you feel the way you do about your employment with Nystrom. For the readers who read Glassdoor reviews, Nystrom does have safety procedures for staff and does train our staff on safety procedures in the event of an emergency. We’ve also implemented training for our staff in de-escalation techniques for VERY RARE patient interactions that would require de-escalation. Safety is a top priority in this company for all of our staff and providers. We understand that consistent safety training for all of our staff is critical and we are committed to providing additional training and implementing additional measures to protect our staff due to rare patient interactions that could occur. Our outpatient clinics have many of the same safety procedures in place as any other outpatient clinics. Our clinics are very safe for our staff and our patients. Our company encourages any employee to contact Human Resources if they have any safety concerns and they will be addressed promptly and professionally. Any employee should contact HR at 651-379-1774.

Pros

Supervision and some internal CEUs are provided. You can be flexible with your schedule. My office is very supportive and I have good coworkers.

Cons

I was warned about burnout and too many clients, but my experience was the opposite. I have not been able to build a caseload in a year and am being forced to part-time with loss of some benefits because there aren't enough intakes. I am not the only person in my office experiencing this. The pay is low as well, there is no stipend or reimbursement for training outside of the company even while the company does not offer specific modality training, and the company has cut salary pay model as well as cutting several holidays including Juneteenth. The company's actions continue to show that they care for profit over people.
