Sagent Behavioral Health

Is this your company?

Good all around experience thus far. I have worked as an outpatient therapist for approximately two months now. - Anonymous employee Sagent Behavioral Health Employee Review

Pros

Competitive compensation, great benefits, excellent training, flexibility to craft own schedule based on clinical interests, help with administrative tasks, management who checks in and listens to feedback, and opportunity to work with colleagues comprised of many different specialties and backgrounds.

Cons

Due to the large size of the organization and interconnected multidisciplinary treatment approach, there needs to be a certain level of uniformity with clinical work that comes with the territory. This is not a bad thing in my opinion because I think they have a good system in place, but it may be difficult for a clinician who wants total say in how they structure their clinical work and/or does not desire to work as part of a bigger team.

Pros

Supervision and some internal CEUs are provided. You can be flexible with your schedule. My office is very supportive and I have good coworkers.

Cons

I was warned about burnout and too many clients, but my experience was the opposite. I have not been able to build a caseload in a year and am being forced to part-time with loss of some benefits because there aren't enough intakes. I am not the only person in my office experiencing this. The pay is low as well, there is no stipend or reimbursement for training outside of the company even while the company does not offer specific modality training, and the company has cut salary pay model as well as cutting several holidays including Juneteenth. The company's actions continue to show that they care for profit over people.
