Sagent Behavioral Health

Is this your company?

It was a confusing time while working at Nystrom and Associates. - Anonymous employee Sagent Behavioral Health Employee Review

Pros

You are often helping people who are suffering from mental illness.

Cons

Many duties and not enough pay to compensate. Managers are micro-managers and are petty. Poor decisions made by administration caused significant damage to the company, which increased stress of employees who suffered the consequences. Company claims to have a mission of helping people with mental illness but are not supportive of their own staff that struggle with it themselves. Company claims to be focused on caring for people but are more concerned with money than their patients. Some of the therapists are not qualified. Most of the psychiatrists are not doctors of psychiatry, and are therefore not qualified to prescribe medication.

Thank you for your review. We respect your feedback and are always looking for ways to improve and do better although we disagree with many of your comments. Our patients and employees are our top priority. Every decision we make, has considerations for both involved in the process. We believe that the vast majority of our employees are very happy, feel supported and feel as if they have a voice in our organization in bringing help and healing to those who need it. We are continuously improving and like all organizations, we are never going to be perfect. We highly encourage our staff to voice ideas, feelings and suggestions to our supervisors staff and HR when they have a problem. In fact, we have many "advisory" committees that are comprised of line level staff to voice their opinions and ideas on logistical worklflows & policies, etc. Again, thanks for your feedback.

Pros

Supervision and some internal CEUs are provided. You can be flexible with your schedule. My office is very supportive and I have good coworkers.

Cons

I was warned about burnout and too many clients, but my experience was the opposite. I have not been able to build a caseload in a year and am being forced to part-time with loss of some benefits because there aren't enough intakes. I am not the only person in my office experiencing this. The pay is low as well, there is no stipend or reimbursement for training outside of the company even while the company does not offer specific modality training, and the company has cut salary pay model as well as cutting several holidays including Juneteenth. The company's actions continue to show that they care for profit over people.
