Pros

Nystrom & Associates, Ltd. provides a wholesome work environment. The staff are friendly and really care about the clients. Although the company continues to grow, there is still a warm family atmosphere and staff are treated with respect and felt genuinely cared about instead of like a number. The organization values a holistic approach to good health and offers a wide variety of services to help accomplish this.

Cons

NAL has grand ideas when it comes to growth and expansion, but does not always have a well sought out plan when implementing the changes that come with it. Although there are teams set up to evaluate policies and procedures before implementation, those teams do not always include staff from all departments. The benefit package offers many supplemental policies at decent rates, but the health insurance coverage is mediocre.

Pros

Supervision and some internal CEUs are provided. You can be flexible with your schedule. My office is very supportive and I have good coworkers.

Cons

I was warned about burnout and too many clients, but my experience was the opposite. I have not been able to build a caseload in a year and am being forced to part-time with loss of some benefits because there aren't enough intakes. I am not the only person in my office experiencing this. The pay is low as well, there is no stipend or reimbursement for training outside of the company even while the company does not offer specific modality training, and the company has cut salary pay model as well as cutting several holidays including Juneteenth. The company's actions continue to show that they care for profit over people.
