Pros

Nystrom has gone through several changes since 2019 and having worked here for 20 years, this is the healthiest it has ever been. The CEO is transparent, genuine and leads with a true understanding of the field and a passion for our people. I love our opportunities to advance, work in different roles and that new ideas are welcomed. They have the ability to pivot quickly and respond with action to employee feedback. There is a real understanding of the value of the employee, and that if they take better care of their people, they'll take better care of their patients. Our mission, vision and values have created a purpose for the employees and are so powerful in bringing us into alignment with a common goal.

Cons

We have been working on ways to improve the employee experience and while we have made needed and noticeable changes in the last year, we still have work to do.

Pros

Supervision and some internal CEUs are provided. You can be flexible with your schedule. My office is very supportive and I have good coworkers.

Cons

I was warned about burnout and too many clients, but my experience was the opposite. I have not been able to build a caseload in a year and am being forced to part-time with loss of some benefits because there aren't enough intakes. I am not the only person in my office experiencing this. The pay is low as well, there is no stipend or reimbursement for training outside of the company even while the company does not offer specific modality training, and the company has cut salary pay model as well as cutting several holidays including Juneteenth. The company's actions continue to show that they care for profit over people.
