Pros

Nystrom contributes to the community in an amazing way that not a lot of other companies can beat. No matter what your role is, you'll be making a difference. Everyone CARES who works there & is kind. You probably won't come across many people in a workplace who are just down to earth, kind people. Generous PTO Policy.

Cons

Senior management doesn't understand the implications of their growth & lack of infrastructure. Brian Nystrom started with 6 employees and now has over 1,000 but everyone who "runs" the company is either related to the nystroms or worked their way up from the front desk. This is highly known fact across the organization & can be very frustrating in terms of where the company is going & how they are going to get there. The leadership professionals are hard working, wonderful people who have no training in what they are doing - building a company. As a therapist or support staff, this may not matter to you.

Pros

Supervision and some internal CEUs are provided. You can be flexible with your schedule. My office is very supportive and I have good coworkers.

Cons

I was warned about burnout and too many clients, but my experience was the opposite. I have not been able to build a caseload in a year and am being forced to part-time with loss of some benefits because there aren't enough intakes. I am not the only person in my office experiencing this. The pay is low as well, there is no stipend or reimbursement for training outside of the company even while the company does not offer specific modality training, and the company has cut salary pay model as well as cutting several holidays including Juneteenth. The company's actions continue to show that they care for profit over people.
