Pros
Frontline workers care very much for their patients and work hard to provide safe and quality care. I learned a lot in the time I spent here.
Cons
Disorganized and poorly-resourced. Middle management and above are generally disconnected from the frontline. Very few policies in place and those that exist are poorly evidenced and outdated. Staffing is unpredictable and while departmental leaders do attempt to fill shifts with overtime and agency, nurses and techs are still stretched very thin. Equipment is outdated, and staff spends much of their time searching for what they need to effectively do their jobs. The onboarding process is ineffective and ongoing education is lackluster. Benefits are expensive and subpar compared to similar organizations. Very top down culture; bullying is the norm.
