Pros

Salary.com has been the perfect continuation of my professional aspirations and professional passions, both of which started at Cornell. As an undergrad, I developed an interest in the philosophy of compensation. However, at times I worried this interest was too niche, and that it would be difficult to find viable job opportunities. Luckily, I found Salary.com. Now I get to use both my analytical and consultative skills to help our clients win the war for talent. I’ve loved every minute of my time here since day one.

Cons

Part of working for a young, growing company entails staying in the office later than you expected on some days.

Pros

- Great place for an entry level person starting out. - Free Lunch - Known for their high quality compensation data set - BCBS Healthcare is great - Most individual contributors are really nice -Management knows their internal processes well.

Cons

-Upper Management is haphazard with poor communication. -VC's are squeezing every ounce of profit at the expense of employees. -Pay is docked for not hitting in office participation quota. -RIF's are used to remove older workers and alleviate their salary compression issue. -Goals and priorities are constantly changing. -Tasks are constantly added then focus shifts to something new. Not well thought out. - The constant changes make it feel like a test environment for a business case. Changes are not well thought out and poorly implemented. And then scrapped when they fail. - There is little regard for the individual contributor. - Advancement opportunities are dependent on political circle not performance. -Base pay is low. Takes 4 years to make competitive industry compensation.
