Pros

Salem Hospital had a very good program for new RNs that provided support for the first year of my career. Also, I felt very supported by my management and I felt that patient care was held in high regard. Even though it was non-union hospital the compensation was competitive.

Cons

Our staffing was often strained and it was a very busy hospital. I would get calls almost every morning that I didn't work to see if I wanted to pick up a shift. Chances are that has changed over time though.

Pros

Thé patient population is amazing and my colleagues are wonderful humans

Cons

Leadership could be better. Communication with HR, management, etc is not good. The pay seems low, especially for how hard we work.
