Cons
They do not value employees or their input on ways to make certain departments better. This has gone downhill over the years. They ask for "suggestions" and receive "input" but upper management stops any progress. They shy away from disciplining bad behavior, laziness and not following policies. They value the PR, the "Magnet" status and all the accolades so they can "brag" about how great the organization is. They let fantastic employees leave because they force schedules or assignments on them that they should not have to do or don't want to do. Then, to "fill the gaps" they hire travelers. When nurses leave due to higher pay somewhere else, to "fill the gaps", they hire travelers and pay them double what they would have paid the employee who left. Why is a $5.00 raise too much for everyone? When you are spending so much more on traveling nurses/physicians etc. Especially when the CEO makes 1.7 million every year and her salary climbs every year and staff members get, oh anywhere from 0.15 cents to maybe $1, if you're lucky.
