Pros
Friendly co workers and really good benefits.
Cons
Manager sits in her office all day every day with a bad attitude. There is zero development or management skills. Extremely negative and short with staff and never allows anyone to question how things are done. HR had to come down because it got so bad but then nothing happened. Salem Health has a habit of keeping bad managers around and this is talked about between other departments. No one is willing to address the elephant in the room. The mood in the department is always uneasy and dismal. Staff engagement is very poor, and the culture is bad. Staff go out of their way and simply don't want to get on the managements bad side. When asking for help staff are treated like they did something wrong for bringing it up. We are understaffed, instead of looking for ways to help staff we are ridiculed as if we are the problem.
