Pros
Salesforce is an industry leader with an unmatched brand — carrying the logo into an account gets you credibility and executive access. Opportunity to sell across a wide, innovative portfolio (AI, Data Cloud, Slack, Tableau, MuleSoft), which keeps conversations strategic and future-focused. Incredible training, enablement, and culture of learning. Dreamforce and internal programs provide constant exposure to new skills and leaders. Compensation potential is strong if you perform — accelerators are real, and top AEs are rewarded. Working with talented, driven peers and leaders who push you to excel.
Cons
Territory assignments can feel uneven — some AEs get legacy enterprise accounts while others grind on smaller/new logo territories with the same quota. Internal processes (deal desk, discount approvals, legal) can be slow and frustrating, especially at quarter-end. Promotions and raises don’t always match performance — sometimes it’s about timing or advocacy more than results. Quotas are aggressive and can feel disconnected from actual market opportunity. Work-life balance can take a hit during heavy push periods (EoQ, EoY).
