Pros

At first I was excited to work for Sally believing that there is career advancement in the future.

Cons

I have been a life long buyer and user of the product line Sally offers. Recently I was honored and excited to be selected to join the Sally sale team at a local retail location. On my 3rd day of employment I was devastated and deeply hurt when my manager confronted me after working my schedule hours in front of sally beauty store. The manager approached me in front of the Sally business store as I left the store outside where my son was waiting to drive me home. She asked to search my purse with absolutely no reason to do so. I felt violated and humiliated to be treated as a common thief. My question is: does Sally do this as a normal business practice to their employees? This lack of trust and respect has caused me to seriously consider if I desire to work and purchase the products Sally has to offer. I am a mature adult, a customer and recent employee of this company. All I ask, is to be treated with the respect and trust I deserve. Question is will I ever feel the same; honored and excited being part of Sally team? In my opinion, this was not a professional approach checking the employee bag in front of the business in front of other staring customers and other business after the employee shift ended.

Pros

My store manager and team were wonderful! If you make the right moves you can move up the ladder reasonably quickly,

Cons

You can move up the ladder quickly because turnover is so high. Management will lie to you and tell you whatever you want to hear to keep you from leaving. Your experience is entirely dependent on who your store manager is and if they are willing to advocate for you. District management does not care about employees.
