Pros
Strong stand for diversity and inclusion. Most people are fairly friendly but that is only because there is a huge amount of suffering as a team
Cons
This company has very high turnover and it is not an issue that started with “The Great Resignation”… it’s actually been this way for almost four years according to peers and vendor partners. When I started, I learned my second week that I was the fifth person to be in this role in just over three years. I knew it was bad when I was told by vendors that this is the first time they have heard from someone at Sally Beauty in over two years. I have watched new hires in the Store Support Center quit in as little as nine weeks and those are people who were in Manager level roles… VP’s who leave after six months. Processes are badly broken. The company has been trying to implement a software tool in Merchandising that after three years still isn’t fully implemented and doesn’t work properly and there’s no real timeline of when it will work correctly which causes countless hours of trying to work around it and in another system. The company tries to execute too many initiatives at one time and ends up doing few (if any) of them very well. As you can read in other reviews of working in the Store Support Center, there is simply not enough headcount to do good work… everything is a rush job and timelines are rarely realistic. Part of the issue starts with onboarding… or the complete lack of it in Sally Beauty’s case.
