Pros
- Strong Values - Saltchuk has a core value that has stuck with me since day one, which is "to be the kind of place where employees would be proud for their children to work." Now although I don't have any children at the moment, I believe this value is embraced from most all people who work at Saltchuk and it's family of companies. Safety and ethics are also a top priority that helps drive this initial statement. - Small Company Feel - Saltchuk as a whole is a large cluster of companies, but it feels more like a small company because of its corporate structure. It's a place where I know everyone I work amongst, and am excited to start work each week. - Fun Co-workers (work hard, play harder) - One of my primary goals in finding an employer was to work at a company where I would enjoy meeting up with my co-workers after work or even on the weekends. I feel that I've found this at Saltchuk.
Cons
- Complaints - I don't have many cons about working at Saltchuk, but I suppose I haven't worked here long enough to find big issues. There are the typical office issues that are more irritations than anything. This would include keeping the office warm, but that issue should taken care of when we move into our new building.
