Pros

Typical State Job. Good benefits, steady pay. It takes an act of god to be fired.

Cons

It takes an act of god to be fired. Therefore, lots of people are coasting every day until retirement. There were so many people that worked there and no one knew what they did at all, including their managers. They hire people based on arbitrary goals that have nothing to do with skills, experience or even degrees. Nepotism is rampant. The Lowman Student Center became an increasingly hostile and juvenile place to work since I left. I applied for any and all jobs I could find, over 100 jobs or more, just so I could leave. People there are Toxic. Turnover rate has increased to a ridiculous degree. There's emotional manipulation, bullying and yelling is considered to be a leadership style for some odd reason. Public reception is considered more important than actually trying to admit or fix the real issues. Cussing, yelling, exclusion, bullying, humiliation, glory seeking people are in every corner.

Great atmosphere, very understanding, and good people

Cons

The pay wasn't that great, but that's just part of being part of the university.
