Pros
- The mission, on its face, is a huge pro. The execution is very different. - Working with my colleagues in Africa was one of the most rewarding experiences of my professional career. Shoutout GSD; love y'all!
Cons
- Product/Market Fit just not there; several pivots have happened, none seem to be sticking - Siloes; The org is VERY siloed, and communication does not flow efficiently between them - Inept leadership; too many examples to list - Culture; I can only speak to the corporate side of the business, but simply put, there isn't any. If I didn't make an active effort to communicate with peers outside my immediate projects, I could go a week or two without talking to anyone 'new', which makes for rather boring days - Communication; even during times of crisis (google: time + sama) we heard very little from leadership, and in the absence of this communication, doubt and resentment are given a chance to blossom - Generalized apathy; on many occasions when pushing for something on behalf of a client, or something that would be an improvement to a process, I was met with 'I just work here' or 'Not my problem'. This is obviously quite demoralizing
