Samsung Research America an intel trap. They don't really care about real products and people's talents. They just setup numerous quick and dirty projects and staff people into them. They just try to dig out the best shots you have from your prior employment or school. After extracting your knowledge or experience, they will dispose you in favor of newer employees falling into the same trap. They typically want information from top US companies and schools which Korea is interested in. You cannot develop or stay up to date. It's essentially a hire and kill trap for your career.
To do their spying the managers have no integrity, and even brag about lying and bullying. They openly blame people and throw people under the bus and that makes them feel superior. Even bits of your work will be spied on and some people will steal and patent them. Incompetent managers usually have a few incompetent friends who are likely to take your credit. HR will facilitate bullied employees to leave the company, and will laugh at your misfortune.
With reckless waste of talents and specialists in many hot fields, the company is losing competitive edges. Everything is falling behind peers in the industry. They rely on international politics to bully competitors and get a temporary boost of their stock price. It does not appear to be a healthy or sustainable company.
