Pros
Somehow, they are able to attract physicians to come and work there for 2 years at a time. Physicians, they will lie to you to get you to sign the contract.
Cons
For physicians, they entice you with a wildly generous 2-year guarantee, and after 2 years, when you realize that there is no possible way to achieve a similar income through production, you have to pick up your family and move. Your contract does include a non-compete, and the local court is enforcing it. The past 10 years here have seen a constant revolving door of physician labor. The only physicians who stay have a compelling reason to be here geographically, or have no other options. So be warned...if you want to come to South Dakota to make good money for 2 years, then fine. But if you are looking for a long-term opportunity, you need to look elsewhere. By the way, my comments are only the tip of the iceberg. I could tell you about the oppressive EHR, top-heavy management (5 vice-presidents in Public Relations!), and a transient support staff, etc.
