Pros
I worked at one of the smallest Sanmina facilities: Turtle Lake, WI. The people are amazing there, and work great together and put in tremendous effort. Many investments in upgrading and replacing aged equipment, so much of the machinery there is state of the art, They're investing heavily in automation to make jobs easier, and help with the challenge of finding enough employees.
Cons
Sanmina pays terrible. People can go up the street to the gas station or McDonalds and get better pay, better benefits, scheduling flexibility, and not have to deal with the upper management at this site. The management seems lost. Turtle Lake is chopping heads steady. And they aren't replacing them. It feels like Sanmina Turtle Lake is dying a slow death. There's more layoff than business the last year. And upper management at the Turtle Lake facility is completely out of touch with the people. Few ever see him, and when they do he's just buzzing through the plant on his phone.
