Pros

Benefits are ok, pay is about the same for jobs in area.

Cons

Management is one-sided, a "good ole boy system", they do NOT care about the health and welfare of their employees. They skip breaks and sometimes do not provide lunches due to short staffing. The nurses are not skilled to work in high acuity areas and lots of shady shortcuts putting your own license in jeopardy. The most toxic work environment that I have ever worked in. They encourage and advance nurses who are racist and with certain political backgrounds, if you are not in agreeable with them and their lack of morality then they make sure to push you out or get rid of you.

Pros

small culture, good community care, very involved with community and its success, Feel heard when voicing frustrations and/or new ideas, solutions. Upper admin respects and collaborates with middle management roles.

Cons

Wear lots of "hats" in my role, since it is a smaller place, and that makes it overwhelming at times. Lower wages, since a smaller place. Less established protocols, but that is rapidly changing with input from stakeholders.
