Pros

Like some of the people who buy from here and close to home. Learning experience in how not to run a company. Get to see fabulous clothing people donate.

Cons

Dirty, unsafe working conditions, back breaking work, people quit in groups, blame staff for things VV does wrong, no health and safety - actually they go through the motions, emotional roller coaster, staff on drugs just to work there, no one is allowed to transfer to another store (regardless of the rules), everyone is scared all the time of losing their jobs. Worst job I've ever had - sucks the life and soul out of everyone. Depressing. As a cashier my schedule is changed at the last minute.

Discounts. Incredible coworkers. App they use for scheduling and pay is really nice. Always left on time. Relaxed dress code. Schedules came out early.

Cons

Doctor's notes aren't "a valid excuse for absence" ??? You cannot buy anything in the store unless it's been there for two days. The managers are untrained. They refuse to trespass people (even though one customer threw glass onto the floor in a fit of rage and TWICE a fellow coworker's stalker came in and they just had them hide in the back) Most of the managers don't really help on the floor. They refused to put me on registers despite us needing the help and me not only having checkout experience, but I'm also fully trained and capable of being on the register. They pushed my male coworker to the registers even though he didn't have any previous retail experience way sooner than they did me. Schedules would be put out so early you couldn't request time off if something came up.
