Pros
From the mutual suffering of working in the back of a musty thrift shop stems a certain camaraderie between coworkers. My fellow workers were, as a whole, friendly and kind to me. Also, I do think Savers has the right idea in terms of management. The open door policy is good.
Cons
I left this job under the definite impression that I was being worked overtime hours without receiving overtime pay. The last straw was when they scheduled me for six days midway through a five-day week, and altered the schedule to make it appear as though I didn't work on a day I did. Aside from that, the job was predictably boring, tiring, and sometimes plain gross: even with a surgeon's mask and latex gloves, I still was coughing and sneezing while on the job. An ideal day was something like hanging clothes for 4 hours, and racking clothes for another 4. As a new employee, you are generally put to doing the work that nobody more established is interested in doing.
