Pros

50% off clothing. That’s it. The benefits, upper management, policies, and labour itself all are a detriment to the company.

Cons

- unsafe donations in stores and warehouses (used sex toys, weapons, biohazardous waste, drug paraphernalia, etc.) that are sorted by those making minimum wage while still receiving the backlash every other customer facing role experiences - praises themselves for being a “diverse” and “equal opportunity” employer but often refused simple accommodations, insist that accommodations MUST have an end date, anti-queer policies despite their “anti-harassment” training modules, and open mocking of different ethnicities/genders by many leaders - in summer you’ll be overwhelmed with hours (if you’re PT, you’ll be working FT and no benefits) and then in winter you’ll be given at most one shift a week because they maintain their entire seasonal roster to weed out employees who understand their value - company discourages any and all communication outside of the building between employees regardless of managerial status because you’ll see behind the curtain of their operation, and uses the “right to disconnect from work” law as their basis when that’s not how that law works. FYI, if your employer tells you that you can’t talk about work in any sense outside of your working hours there is bound to be red flags - managers aren’t adequately trained and are routinely set up to fail then fired when they cannot meet impossible performance guidelines - employees are told to mark up items from dollar stores and told to remove identifying stickers to ensure the markup goes unnoticed - the pricing guidelines set by upper management are out of touch and cheaper items (Walmart, Old Navy, Shein, etc.) are knowingly overpriced because “the quality and condition look new” - management doesn’t care about their staff and routinely denies mental health support because it “impacts the needs of the business” - will often hire on the spot or within 24 hours because they’re desperate for workers
