Pros

Decent insurance and wages. Plenty of overtime. Family days, spring festival and Christmas party, paid for by the company. If you maintain perfect attendance, you recieve two 'earned hours' every month that can be used to cover being late, taking longer vacations, or just supplementing your check. CIP system allows employees to submit ideas and innovations that could improve productivity, and accepted ideas reward those employees with points redeemable for swag or $50 Exxon gas cards. Second and third shift employees recieve a 12% hourly wage increase applied to base pay. If things do go south and you lose your job, but act in a sensible manner when being discharged, you may be eligible for rehire after six months. You never lose a raise once you've recieved it.

Cons

Mandatory seven day work schedule. Wages are fixed once you reach a certain pay grade, and obtaining another raise is nearly impossible and isn't based on performance or other 'logical' reasons. Even after receiving a promotion, raises are withheld until aproved everyone between immediate supervisors to the CEO himself, then there is another waiting period of about 12 months before it is applied. Very strict attendance policy with a points system. At certain point increments, benefits are dropped, making it harder to keep your job, especially for individuals that live far away from work. First to go are earned hours, then emergency vacation days; and at the 'final warning' stage, a sneeze in the wrong direction could cost you your job. Management is comprised of inexperienced college graduates, and common sense is lacking in most cases. The CIP system is poorly moderated, and good ideas slip through the cracks or are stolen by less innovative employees. Supervision holds grudges, and never forgets any kind of confrontation, no matter the magnitude or severity, and will use it against you when it will hurt the worst. Transferring from one job to another or from department to department is pretty well impossible. Racial and sexual orientation favoritism seeps from the walls, and that door swings in both directions, not just the conventional manner.
