      Pros

      If you like to be away from people and have no family time this job is for you. Some drivers live in their trucks and have no home, and love it.

      Cons

      You only get paid by the miles you drive so if your truck is a POS shop time gets you very little and if your in city traffic you make even less. My truck climbed the passes in 7th that's 25 mph do the math.

      Pros

      Dedicated local account, driver leaders are nice, equipment is decent.

      Cons

      $12/hr on duty, not driving pay. That’s ridiculous and includes everything except driving. Work can be inconsistent at times, hours can be long, no holiday or mileage bonus pay for a long time after hire, benefits are expensive. Schneider won’t allow drivers to use Bluetooth or any other hands-free device, INCLUDING HEARING AIDS, to receive calls while driving. This makes having a life outside of work and scheduling appointments almost impossible.
