Pros

They offer great pay and benefits. Most managers provide clear objectives and get out of your way so that you can get the work done. Quality of life and career development are emphasised. What you are capable of doing is more important than the degree you hold.

Cons

New ideas take too long to catch on and to implement. In the current recession of 2009 many good associates are being laid off for what appear to be for short term cash flow management gains. This perceived as a lack of loyalty to associates and causing significant concern amoung those remaining.

Pros

Dedicated local account, driver leaders are nice, equipment is decent.

Cons

$12/hr on duty, not driving pay. That’s ridiculous and includes everything except driving. Work can be inconsistent at times, hours can be long, no holiday or mileage bonus pay for a long time after hire, benefits are expensive. Schneider won’t allow drivers to use Bluetooth or any other hands-free device, INCLUDING HEARING AIDS, to receive calls while driving. This makes having a life outside of work and scheduling appointments almost impossible.
