Pros
Smart people, professional atmosphere as you would expect from a multinational bank, managers care about employee growth, access to mentors, clean offices, managers don't have an "I'm better then you" attitude that many other companies have. Big focus on ethics and respect for your coworkers. You won't find any unprofessional behavior here and if you do those who are acting disrespectfully are fired. Managers sit next to employees and aren't on a power trip. Great place to start a career as there are many smart and professional people who care about your growth and success both inside the company and your own professional development. Very mature business processes and exposure to how a leading company does things. Processes are very mature and optimized.
Cons
Open concept workplace so makes it hard to really feel like you have your own cubicle where you can personalize and make it feel more like home. The office I worked from was very sterile meaning it was very corporate and lacked any type of character. You have a very small and basic lunch area, no free snacks offered even on fridays, basic tea/coffee/refrigerator set up. The open concept takes time getting used to as you have no privacy and when people are on calls you can hear everything. Meeting rooms also have no privacy they are pure glass. A little more flexibility to work from home would be nice especially because of the lower Manhattan location is hard to get to unless you live in immediate New York City area. The bank has HQ in Toronto so hiring and onboarding is extremely slow for U.S. employees. Can take a few weeks just to receive laptop, monitors, phone, etc. In the meantime you have to try to stay busy and not looking bored.
