Pros

Jeans days Lots of opportunity to move around Volunteer incentives

Cons

I left scu because it was turning into a bank in the worst way. Incentives for employee sales were dropped while expectations for sales were raised. The branches were severely understaffed because employees came and went like a revolving door. They also decided to open more branches which further stretched the already thin branch employees. The pay is much lower than banks and the benefits are expensive. Might as well go work for a bank!

I am sorry to read that some of your employment experiences at Scott Credit Union were not characteristic of our positive culture. As a credit union, we operate by the people helping people philosophy. While we are not a hard sales environment, we do inform our members about the products and services that can improve their financial well-being. Additionally, staffing is important and each location is being reviewed to determine if any changes, such as increasing the total number of employees at the branch, should be made. Recently, we added positions to various locations that will allow more flexibility for our employees. Additionally, we implemented a wide-scale salary increase for many of our member facing positions in order to stay competitive within the industry. Salary reviews will be continued into 2019 and changes will be made where necessary. We appreciate your feedback about your experience and will take this into consideration during our change planning process. Vice President of Employee Services

Thank you for your feedback. I am glad to read that you enjoyed your coworkers, the training process, and stability that Scott Credit Union offers. Providing competitive pay has always been an important factor in the total rewards package. Recently, we conducted an analysis of our compensation system with the goal of increasing our minimum starting wage. As a result of the review, effective June 1, 2026, Scott Credit Union is establishing an internal minimum wage of $18 per hour. Competitive and equitable pay remains a foundational element of our workplace culture, and we will continue to evaluate the total rewards package for competitive offerings. Again, thank you for your feedback. Vice President of Human Resources
