Scouting America

Is this your company?

This is the worst company to work for. Everything they do professionally is antithetical to their mission statement. - District Director Scouting America Employee Review

Pros

Easy to manipulate Critical Achievements (goals), which leads to an increased salary.

Cons

The national office is only concerned with how many youth we record we serve, which is terribly easy to manipulate. My district has 1,800 youth and about 950 of them receive a scouting program for less than a week. This company is a joke.

Pros

Good health benefits via UnitedHealth.

Cons

Micromanage, cannot hold a conversation in office in this department without getting in trouble for talking with colleagues. However they expect you to come in 3 days a week at minimum to encourage team collaboration and team building. Meanwhile people who are paid at least 6 figures walk around the office holding conversations about nothing work related or complaining about local council employees and members-as if they do not realize without these very same people they would not have the big houses and fancy cars they own.
