Pros
The best reason to work for the Boy Scouts of America is that you get to help the scouts obtain merit bages which in turn helps them to become better people in life. You get a real sense of accomplishment when you get to help the youth and see their eyes light up as they learn something new and begin to change and adapt and apply the things that you have taught them. Also it is just a great job to be around the scouting atmosphere all the time and be able to go on hikes and campouts with the scouts.
Cons
The worst things about working for the Boy Scouts of America is that the pay was terrible for the time that was put in. Every mourning we would have to get up to do shive shivery, or in other words, jump in the lake at six AM with the scouts, we would then be busy from that time until our nightly meeting was over at 11 PM. So 17 hours a day for 5 days a week, plus saturday from 7 to noon, and then sunday from 3 PM until 11 PM. With all that work I was payed minimum wage for 40 hours per week.
